LONG TABLE SERIES

New Summer Schedule

 
The ever-popular Long Table Series at the Irish Heather continues with a new menu on offer now every Thursday through Sunday. Kicking off this Sunday June 15th, we have a special Father's Day LTS. Treat your Dad like a rockstar on us. With any booking of 3 or more including Dad for this Sunday's LTS we will pay for Dad's meal!

Over the years we have resisted requests to have the LTS on weekend nights. This summer, we have decided to give the people what they want!!! This is perfect for folks heading to games, shows, clubs as for a crazy reasonable price you get a beer and a meal, setting you up to conquer the night.

Dishing up roast chicken with slaw, gravy and fries on Thursday, steelhead trout with couscous and grilled veggies on Friday, succulent porchetta with warm potato salad, picked veg and salsa verde on Saturday, and ending the weekend on Sundays with a classic favourite, roast beef served with colcannon potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables all coated in gravy. 

At $18 including a select beer, it remains one of the most delectable, not to mention affordable, meals in the city.






Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, etc. are all easily accommodated.

Long Table Series Spring 2014

 
Back by popular demand, the Long Table Series at the Irish Heather will continue to dish up some heartwarming communal meals.
 


Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, etc are all easily accommodated just let us know when booking.

Through this series of dinners, each Sunday and Monday, the Irish Heather will bring together all those who share a common love of food to enjoy a casual, comfortable and affordable night out. Originally created as an alternative dining experience for folks when the recession was biting hard, the Long Table Series has endured because it provides a unique experience at a great price. 

We will kick off the new Spring 2014 schedule with two special LTS dinners on Easter weekend, serving up Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding on Sunday April 20 and Monday April 21.  Following that we will continue with our regular LTS dinners every Sunday and Monday night.

The menu for this series includes Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding and traditional Irish Colcannon on Sundays, and Pasta Polognese (rich homemade beef sauce served over penne, topped with parmesan cheese) on Mondays. For only $17 , including an artisan beer, you get a hearty "Sunday Dinner" meal that is sure to be Mom-approved.

AUTUMN LONG TABLE SERIES


Hi folks,

As we move into winter weather, the LTS starts to come into its own. This next few months will see our schedule juggled a little as we accommodate  the various holiday parties that come with this time of year.

We are holding with our popular Sunday Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, but the Meatless Mondays are changing. There is definitely a demand for a Meatless Monday but not enough to fill the table so we are going back to our original format and offering Oven Roasted Turkey, with mashed potatoes, winter veg and gravy.

Meatless Monday fans fear not!! As we have always done, but now more than ever, we will offer to substitute a vegan, vegetarian & gluten free meal in place of the meal on offer....all we ask is that you try to give us a little notice.

Grimbergen from Carlsberg and Blood Alley Bitter from local crew Russell Brewing are staying and we love them for it...without their support we couldn't offer these meals & beer for $17 plus tax and service.

If you are interested in hosting your own LTS for office gatherings, birthdays, etc on any day of the week, we can arrange this for you at the price of $23 plus tax and service. Of course, we can arrange 2 & 3 course meals too and elsewhere around our group of restaurants, we can arrange for groups of as large as 110 guests.

Hi folks,

We have worked on a couple of new projects recently and sadly neglected our LTS a little. The launch of "Salt Tasting Room" in Kitsilano and our Deli/Restaurant/Cafe "Rainier Provisions" has sucked the life out of us....in a good way.

LTS is back and we have some new exciting ideas for you.


The Sunday Roast remains unchanged but the price drops to an unbelieveble $16 plus tax & service for Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes and Gravy plus a pint of Kronenberg.

On Monday we are adopting MEATLESS Mondays. This is a very popular style of event in New York and basicially features a meal totally devoid of meat. We have chosen a meal that is vegan, vegetarian and pleasing to those who aren't of that life choice. If you are a meat eater, it really doesn't hurt to skip meat every once and a while, in fact it is recommended. On Meatless Mondays, for $16 plus tax and service, we'll make it easy for you and our source we'll throw in a beer.


Pit For Your Supper is back but only for a short period and with dates still to be announced. Most likely we are looking at peaches for each Wednesday in August, but we can't be certain how mother nature is going to play her part in this. If you'd like to volunteer to pit peaches for 2 hours in return for supper and a beer, email HERE and say as much.


Every now and again we'll throw in an extra Wild Card LTS, just because we can. Think a Whiskey LTS or a Wine LTS and you'll get the picture.
